To test a little further, I added a button to the first panel which enables the 
second panel, and commented out the property...enabled 'true' from the first 
button.

If I click the first button in panel one, click the button in panel two (while 
the Pause for 5 is still going), my count does not get updated.

If I click the first button in panel one (disable panel two, pause for 5), the 
second button in panel one (enable panel two), then click the button in panel 
two, the count gets updated after the five seconds.  So it's waiting the five 
seconds to do what I've clicked, in the order I clicked.
