FWIW, there is no setting, and it is not a bug nor do you have to submit
an enhancement request.
Without knowing all details about your form with ListView, do you see
the same behavior in "VarLookupListView" form included with RRBYW16
database?
If not, create a brand new form with Variable Lookup List View and see
what results you get.
Hope that simple exercise provides you with some blue's clues ...
