Mike,
Early on we had to insist that the entire set of folders containing our databases and command file code be excluded from AV scans. In my estimation it is the only way to go, and we've never had an issue. Emmitt Dove Converting Systems Architect Evergreen Packaging, Inc. The Symantec SEP program runs an AV scan each Thursday morning. Unfortunately the scan is co-incident with my 300+ routines. The AV scan extends the run time of my programs by almost 3 hours. It's not a good thing. I am wondering if excluding the databases from the scan would help. Would excluding my R:BASE command files help? Anyone else have experience and wisdom they could share regarding AV scan configurations?
