Bill,

It sounds like Quicktime has hijacked the file association (default program)
for the maps. If you know the extension associated with the map files, look
at your computer's associations and change it from Quicktime to whatever it
should be. Also check the file associations in Quicktime and uncheck the
appropriate type.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Google Map Question

I have an application which is running very nicely in the latest 9.1
version.

When I send a Launch .variable command, which is for a static google map, My
Internet Explorer 8 opens the map in Quick Time, centering the map and I can
not print it, which is the whole point of launching the command.
.
I find this very curious because when I cut and paste the launch command
into the web browser, the map comes up left justified, not opening with
Quicktime, and I can print it with no problem.

If I disable the Quicktime add-on, the file won't launch at all.

Does anyone know what causes this and what I could do to fix it ?

Thanks,
