Just re-installed the 03/17/2011 update and all is well.

The latest update has nothing to do with your signs and symptoms.
You MUST be CONNECted to the database in order to see the relevant
database options, such as:
. Tables
. Views
. Stored Procedures
. Forms
. Reports
. Labels
