Dan,

I suspect that you can do that and evaluate the %'d variable inside the
startup file, but I've never needed to do that yet. Someone at RBTI should
be able to answer that. If you happen to get an answer offline, I'd love to
know how to do this, I'm sure it will come up at some point.

Good luck,

Paul

I am using 9.1 compiler. What I would like to do is have a shortcut like

app name parameter to pass

compiledapp.exe findpart

Then in my application it would pick up the parameter and run that custom
form action.

That way I would not have to compile a whole bunch of different apps.

Dan,

I always put those kinds of commands in the Rbase.dat file I use as the
primary file for compiling. I guess I'm not sure exactly what you are
looking for. I am using the latest 9.1 compiler, by the way, you didn't say
what you have.

Does anybody know where to find a list of the compiler command line switches
and format?

I would like to pass a parameter to the application when it opens so it can
run a custom form action.

TIA
