Patti, I think Bill_D is giving you good advice - it's a bad habit of his! - 
and that's more or less where I was headed, too.  I have some background in 
survey-based research and, if you would like, I might be able to share a couple 
ideas from that experience that intersect with what Bill is sharing.
 
I just don't have that content with me right now.  It's on another disk, at 
home.

It's not difficult to create a view, temporary table, or report from a 
properly-normalized "narrow" table that puts the data into the wide format that 
your correspondents require. People here will help you get going, and you'll 
have a system that is much more efficient to maintain when things change, down 
the road, as they always do.
