Well, there are plenty of possibilities to modify buttons in R:Base to make
cool effects.
I looked for the possibility to build a button with his own shape like a
circle, ellipse, round square, ...
Perhaps there will be once an 'Enhanced Shape Button..'

Using R:BASE eXtreme 9.1, you can take advantage of the following
properties of a Bit Button Control to achieve such effect & more.
Bit Button Control ...
Properties | Attributes | [x] Show Down Pattern
Glyph | Layout ...
Effects | Text Style
Effects | Vertical Alignment
Effects | Frame Color
Effects | Highlight Color
Effects | text Highlight Color
Shadow Color ...
Shadow Width ...
[x] Hot Track
Setting these properties accordingly should provide you with some
cool effects.
