I don't know. I've never had that problem. You might try the Settings menu at the top of the R:Base main screen - it might be in there somewhere.

The setting that causes that is usually LINES. By the way, when you type DIR, you are at the R> prompt, not in the editor. The LINES you can set to display to match your screen size.
