Hello Razzak and other RBasers,
Congratulations with 30 years of RBASE !!
I started using RBASE in 1982 at around the same time when it was
born. Even 30 years ago, with the average computer having no more
than 640 Kb, it was a powerfull programme. Compared to market leader
dBase at the time, RBase was far better. I even bought the compiler
(ver 2.11). That was less of a success because the compiler itself
turned out to be sloppy and poor product, probably reason why owner
Microrim at the time never really supported it and soon ditched it.
The last DOS-based version I used was Version 4.5++ and I still
have the floppies with the programme.
After a period of RBase inactivity, I started Using RBase again when
Version 9.0 came out. Currently I am using Ver 9.5 and sometimes I
feel like a kid in a candy store.
So much choice, so many possibilities, so may ways to get to what
you want...... I am trying to keep up, but RBase doesn't make it
easy and good reference material is hard to come by here in the UK,
but I will perceveire.
Once again, many congratulations. and thanks for your 30% discount
offer. I may take you up on that
