I have suggested to my boss that If something happens to me that they can
contact RBTI.

They can get the word out and find a replacement programmer.

Your idea is good about an informal user group.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Business question

As you know, many of us developers are a one person act. One of my clients
is in the process of documenting all operating procedure to ensure
continuity when personnel changes. I was asked what would happen if
something happens to me; i.e. who supports the application? I have one
person that does some work for me that is somewhat familiar with R:Base but
not enough to provide full support.
Has anyone else run into or thought about this particular issue, and if you
have, what is your solution?

Since the authorized developer programs is no longer in place, I have
thought about forming an informal local/regional group of developers that
can act as backup for others in case something happens. With remote access
support it is a lot more feasible from remote locations and it is something
our client would appreciate. Would anyone else interested in something like
this?

I am open to any suggestions.
