I seem (keyword being "seem") to remember some discussion about given the component id it was possible to determine the type of control. I searched the list and maybe I'm remembering something else (or thought I remembered something which didn't really exist), but is there a way to get the type of control on a form based on a component id. I'm not sure if I'm confusing this with the getproperty "everything". Regards, Ken
