Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: emulate an F2 key?    Hi Javier, This isn't really
what I'm looking for.  I really want an "insert" button that I can use in a
scrolling region. Thank you though, Patti    From: Javier Valencia

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: emulate an F2 key?    Patti,   I never insert a blank
row, too many abandoned blank rows that need clean up. I usually prompt the
user for the part number, employee ID, procedure code or whatever will identify
that row and, after it is verified as correct, I insert row the information
collected and default values for the other columns so there are no NULL values
for any of the columns:   INSERT INTO your_table + (Col_ID,col2, col3, col4,
….) + VALUES(.vCol_Id, 0,0,0,…) PROPERTY TABLE your_table 'REFRESH' PROPERTY
TABLE your_table 'LAST'   Now you should be able to edit that new row.
Hopefully this is what you wanted and it will work for you.   Javier,   Javier

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: emulate an F2 key?   Hi Tom,   I'm not sure how this
would help them add rows to my table without hitting the F2 key.  One thing I
neglected to mention is that the form is an "Edit using" form for table1.  But
in the scrolling region, they are adding new rows to table2.  John said that I
have to use F2 to insert a new blank row in Table2 and then enter the data.
Are you suggesting that I add about 10 or so new blank rows to a temp table and
they can just use how ever many they want?  Then they don't need to hit F2?

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: emulate an F2 key?   Make a small EEP for a button you
can place where you want: PROJECT a temp table using * WHERE  LIMIT = 0, table
has no values INSERT some values to add one row UPDATE the temp as needed
APPEND the temp back to the original table DROP the temp Then use PROPERTY
commands 'REFRESH',  'RestoreOrderBy', and  'Last' to get it back in order and
open the new row.   Tom Frederick   From:[email protected]

Subject: [RBASE-L] - emulate an F2 key?   Is there a way I can put a control on
a form that will act as an F2 key?   I have a scrolling region and I can't put
in a navigator bar, but  we need to be able to insert new rows .  But it would
be so much nicer if they can click on a button rather than go and find the F2
key.     Patti
