For the file name being loaded into R:BASE, the file extension can be xls,
xlsx, and xlsm.
This information is specified within the R:BASE help.
A very simple example:
GATEWAY IMPORT XLS EmployeeData.xlsx APPEND Employee OPTION AUTONUM ON
