I have been using for years for inventory, which when scan the barcode it pulls
up the information(would that not indicate a carriage return or enter.  What I
am trying to do now is use it for employee id's, where they can scan there id
and won't do anything until they press a button.

I do not think Code 128 has a carriage return or line feed built in.
Most bar code scanners have the ability to add a CR / LF after scanning andcan
be set in the scanner setup parameters.   Call up note pad and scana UPC from
some package.  If you see a line return, you know it is your scanner setting.
Below is the spec for the Code 128 (if the list server allows it through)
Code 128 (GS1-128) sections. 1: Quiet zone, 2: Start/stop character, 3:
[FNC1]+Encoded data,[dubious – discuss] 4: Check characterA Code 128 barcode
will have six sections:  -Bob

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Barcode question

I have been using Code-128 barcodes for a long time and was wondering if there
is a way to take off the 'return' at the end or is it possible or is another
barcode better.
