Thank you Javier,
The "What's New in R:BASE X" document provides details on the new features.
http://www.rbase.com/rbgx/WhatsNewInRBASEXforWindows.pdf
As you can see from the chart, GUID is not new, and is also supported
in R:BASE
eXtreme 9.5 (64). You find information within your help files for the
GUID data
type.
When upgrading from R:BASE eXtreme 9.5 (64) to R:BASE X Enterprise, there is a
conversion required for the database files. Users must run the MIGRATE command
to rebuild the database in the new version. Even though the two products share
the same file extensions (RX1-RX4), the internal system tables are different.
Yes. R:BASE eXtreme 9.5 (64) users will upgrade to R:BASE X Enterprise.
For addition details, review the Frequently Asked Questions:
http://www.rbase.com/rbgx/faq.php
The "Step Up (64)" pricing is available to licensees of R:BASE
eXtreme 9.5 (64),
who wish to purchase R:BASE X Enterprise.
You will undoubtedly find many features that will constitute your upgrade to
R:BASE X Enterprise!
In addition, R:Compiler X (Version 10) also includes many features
and tools to
make your R:Compiled applications work much faster & securely in any
environment,
including MS Windows 2012R2 cloud.
After a much needed and well-deserved short break, I will post some
R:Compiler X
(Version 10) sample applications to illustrate the speed as well as
new look and
feel of R:Compiled applications.
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.

R:azzak,
Congrats on the new release. Looks like a lot of new features that I will
have to review and see which ones I can use that would work better than
current solutions.
Is there a document that comments on the many new features? I know that some
new goodies such as Boolean is something that has been discussed for years
and it is nice to see finally implemented.
What is "GUID Data Type Support"?
I notice there is a new "Migrate" option. I take it that this is only for
earlier version and that the new version and 9.5 still have the same file
structure and require no migration/conversion? ...or maybe the "Migrate"
option is to migrate non-R: Base databases?
Looks like the logical upgrade from eXtreme 9.5-64 bit is to R:BASE X
Enterprise and not to the basic to R:BASE X, otherwise you would lose many
features, is this correct?
Also, under "Products" there are 3 category/prices for upgrades: Upgrade,
Step Up, and Step-Up (64). I currently have R:Base eXtreme 9.5-64 bit,
which of the category/price would apply to update to R:BASE X Enterprise?
Thanks in advance.
