FWIW ...

When printing a report, Sub-Report(s)/Slave Table(s) records are contingent 
and/or relevant to Master table. Thus, no option to sub-select the data for 
Sub-Reports/Slave Tables.

Pre-Defining the relevant data set based on a temporary view and then deriving 
your report on that specific view is your best option.
