Jim, if you choose your pre-defined action before you type the text, then
the text "string 41xxx" appears in the "Button Text" field.

Victor:
If you are referring to the 41421, I do not get it. I am using 6.5+ for
windows.

When I put a push button on the form, it pops up a screen with the Push
Button Object Properties and the cursor is in the Button Text field, which
is blank. For page down, type the text _Page Down_ into the field, and
check the Predefined button. The Pre-defined Action to be Executed menu
appears, select Next Page and press ok.

If your system is not behaving exactly the same, I can't help - I suspect
something basic is wrong. If you still have version 6.0a on your system, but
are using 6.5, try deleting version 6.0a files. Perhaps 6.5 is finding files
from the older version.
