Hi Larry, I did so and It returned error messages for: PRNSETUP 'printername' LAUNCH It did not return error messages for: OUTPUT xxxx.reg OUTPUT xxx.BAT OUTPUT PRINTER OUTPUT SCREEN ZIP However, no files were created on the drive. The documentation available for trigger and procedures do not state that these commands are invalid, in fact, when the update trigger procedure is triggered from the R> the output files and the zip command executes OK. It seems that without an open RBase session doing the triggering, ei Oterro, the Rbase database engine is unable to execute these type of command. Is an R> prompt environment required?????? I am not sure?? The documentation does not help?? This would be a very powerful technique where using a table trigger, an R Base reports to a PDF file can be generated automatically.
