Wow thats unusual, considering some of the largest data warehouse
applications and IS Systems in the fortune 1000 are written in PB. Perhaps
we should modify William Mason's saying to "Don't confuse the app with the
tool OR the developer".

PS
Just for your info since Sybase is one of the most capable datbases on the
market (ie World Cup Web site 300 Million hits a day ), and can be connected
to by any ODBC, or Sybase Open Client App. they shouldn't have to stop using
it even if they make the error of moving away from PB.

Hi All,

According to Bernie Corrigan, every software environment I either get actual
training and/or certified in goes by the wayside (case in point -
Powerbuilder, SilverStream, Tango). and I was trained by an official
Powerbuilder Training Center and have Serveral projects that didn't hold up
to time under powerbuilder.

I recommend not using powerbuilder. The tough thing will be is to get them
to stop using Sybase backend database, since powerbuilder is just a front
end product.

For the Record, I am not officially anything with R:Base for fear of jynxing
it... B-)
