You forgot to mention the following when camparing The Glorious 
R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5+) and higher for Windows with OTHERS:  

01. R:BASE is NOT them. 

02. Cost per seat/server

03. Maintenance

04. Support Contracts

05. Full-Time DBA on site, etc...

06. Installation and Setup

07. Multi-Platform Compatibility

I can go on and on ... Let's get REAL here ...
