Of course I had SET STATICDB ON, also MULTI is set on. Yes, they were set
before connecting to the database. All I do for this test is to specify the
desired STATICDB & FASTLOCK settings, CONN to the database and then run the
CMD file that does the simple insert command that I specified. It always
seems to initially produce correct results until about 100 rows are
inserted, then about 100 rows of garbage, etc.

If FASTLOCK is set OFF and STATICDB is set ON, then CONN & run the CMD file
(containing the insert command), it works fine for all 1002 rows.

Frank,

When using FASTLOCK ON, what is the STATICDB Setting?

Are you running as stand-alone or Multi-User?

In a Multi-User environment, FASTLOCK can only be
set on when STATICDB is set ON, and both FASTLOCK
and STATICDB must be set ON before the database is
CONNected.

Like other R:BASE database modes (SET MULTI and
SET STATICDB), FASTLOCK requires ALL users to be
connected with the same setting.

The following command lines set STATICDB and
FASTLOCK correctly.

SET STATICDB ON
SET FASTLOCK ON
CONNECT dbname

Have Fun!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
