First off I would up grade to Rbase 2000 (6.5++ due out 15 June)
I can answer some of you questions here goes (I'm basing my comments on
6.5++)

Question 1:

I use a dialog box to enter this information:

DIALOG 'Enter Your User Name: ' vuser=8 vkey 1 AT 10 30
DIALOG 'Password' vuserpass=8 vkey PASSWORD AT 10 30

Question 2:

I use MDI when I have a main form that I focus on can call secondary forms
using MDI and return to the main form with out issue and enter or edit
statement in my code. I call these from eep buttons or hot keys!

Question 3:
http://www.rsyntax.com/Syntax.htm
Go to this site and select syntax reference and it has listed the EEP
restrictions and use. Also will tell you alot about the lastest version.

Question 4:

Error messages are displayed if you set error messages on. If you are
looking for a returned value you have to define a error var to capture the
error value. At present a list of these numbers and the results reference
or definition is not provided as a file with this version(best of my
knowledge I could be wrong).

Best regards,

Oma

Subject: Rbase questions

I am working on a government contract, and the Air Force decides what
software upgrades they buy and use, therefore I am using R:Base 6.1a. Can
anyone help me and my cohort with these questions?

Questions
For
R:Base Development

1. How do you return an asterisk format (**********) for a password?
2. How do you utilize MDI sheets?
3. What functions are/are not available in an EEP? I have looked at
the EEP restrictions and specific commands.
4. Is there any way to look at system error messages?
