Joe,
First, congratulations on upgrading to The Glorious
R:BASE 2000 (version 6.5++) for Windows. Among many
new features, enhancements, new commands and bug-fixes,
I'm sure you'll enjoy the hard work of our dedicated
and talented R:Team and Beta Testers.
You and your clients will NEVER regret being CURRENT!
In reference to new RPHONE command, to fully understand
the functionality and the use of RPHONE command in EEP,
please take a look at the NewStuff Demo (Online Download
with your upgrade files) for all references and the
sample command file and EEPs.
01. CONNect NewStuff
02. Using Object Manager Form Designer or mighty R>
Prompt, open "NewPhoneCommand" form.
03. Click on Variables and then select List Expressions
You can see that vPhone is created as variable based
on PhoneNumber column in Contacts table.
The value of vPhone will change dynamically for each
individual record displayed on form accordingly.
04 Close RBView to close the list of expression in form.
05. Right Click on [Dial Phone Number] Push Button and
select Properties
Here you'll see DialPhon.EEP defined in Run: EEP or
Command Block.
06. Click on [Edit] button to EDIT/VIEW the contents of
DialPhon.EEP
DialPhon.EEP should explain the use of RPHONE command.
You may also want to check out the latest, greatest and
up-to-date Online HTML Documentation with examples for
RPHONE command:
http://www.RSyntax.com
Under Syntax Reference (alphabetical list of commands),
click on RPHONE for Syntax, Details and Examples!
Hope that helps.
Enjoy and make sure to have fun!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak.
P.S.
The R:BASE 4000 version 1.0 box with 5.25" disks is
one of the most precious collectible items in my life!
The box includes the golden signature of Wayne Erickson,
creator of R:BASE and now the head of R:Team!
