Hi Larry,
I have used McAfee Virus Shield for years and it hasn't failed me yet.
(there are other good virus softwares. Norton, Fprot, Etc.) The Key is to
keep up with the virus data definitions, or any virus checking software will
become useless overtime. McAfee comes out with an update every wednesday.
I also take a 3 prong approach.
1. McAfee Vsheild.
2. Content Filtering by my Mail Server Software (MDaemon)
3. Set up Outlook to not auto preview any e:mail.

Subject: Virus From Me
I appear to have been hit by a virus that is sending out email under my
name, with a file attachment and a message asking for "advice". Needless
to say, if you open the file you will probably infect your computer.
At least one Rbase-l member has received the email.
I have switched to Eudora from Outlook (at least temporarily), although
Norton Anit-Virus came up empty on my system. Any advice on fighting this
virus would be appreciated (and yes, this time I am _really_ asking for
advice).

Larry.
