Normally I don't have a problem with my users running Rbase DOS and my
Oterro Based App (which uses the same database) on machine, but I'm
noticing a problem with 1 user that I can't figure out. The machine is
a brand new installation of Win98SE on a 933 P4 with 256 MB of ram. I
don't think resources are in question as much lessor machines run the
same combo without errors.
The problem is on an update to a table. The update involves 1 field on
a relatively small table (200 rows). Tested on other machines, the
update takes .1 seconds to run. Tested on this machine, the update
takes 3+ seconds to run. If the Rbase DOS instance is not running, the
update goes as it does on the other machines.
Does anyone have any idea what might cause this?
