Razzak,

While I respect your decision, As someone who has possibly lost a friend
and seen a co-worker lose a sister, I disagree with your decision to
postpone the conference.

We must show the world that we can go on with our lives and will not let
fear stop us from conducting our normal routines. My schedule for the
next month has me flying next week to Miami (if the airport reopens),
Canada the second week of October and then I was supposed to goto
Pittsburgh for the conference. I have never been afraid of flying, but
now I am having some anxiety on the upcoming flights, especially
considering 2 of those hijacked flights came from Boston. But I am
determined to get on those flights because I want to show those cowards
that I am not afraid of them and that they will not rule my life. Doing
anything else gives them a victory.

The decision has been made about the conference. I know fear of new
terrorist acts was not the only factor and I am sure you had a tough
decision, but in my opinion, respect for those lost could be better
served by showing the world that we will not let the terrorists rule our
lives.

See you in April

Subject: UPDATE - 2001 R:BASE Developers' Conference

Friday, September 14, 2001

Dear R:BASE Community:

In the aftermath of this week's tragedies, we are left in a
very uncertain state with regards to not only our personal
safety, but the safety of our country as a whole.

We are still very unsettled as to whether or not we will go
to war over these events, and who is responsible.

Being a developer and consultant for mission critical
operations designed in R:BASE for the US Government, I have
the privilege and honor to be ready to provide immediate
assistance, should the need arise.

Facing all of these issues, and the fact that we have many
developers and business partners who join us from abroad,
we have decided it would be in the best interest of us all,
and would show the most respect to those who have fallen to
this senseless act of violence, to postpone the 2001 Annual
R:BASE Developer's Conference until a more suitable and
settled time.

At this time, we have officially rescheduled the 2001 R:BASE
Developers' Conference to Friday, April 19, 2002 through
Monday, April 22, 2002, and the WiTango Conference to
Monday, April 22, 2002 through Wednesday, April 24, 2002.

These dates were chosen so that our Loyal R:BASE Community
can spend their holiday seasons with their families, and our
valued R:BASE customers who are accountants can continue
working through the tax deadline of April 15, 2002, undisturbed.

To those who already have made their reservations, both hotel
and plane, you should have NO problem with rescheduling these
items, as we have made special provisions at the Radisson Hotel
regarding this issue. Please contact your airline immediately
regarding rescheduling your flight. I'm sure every airline will
be understanding.

We have done our best to reschedule the events to a time that
we felt would be the most convenient and least imposing to our
dedicated developers, clients, and international partners.

We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter, and
sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Those of you who have already registered need no further
registration. For new registration and conference updates,
please visit: http://www.rbase.com/conference

The conference "events" section of our web site will also be
updated accordingly.

We at R:BASE Technologies and our entire Development Team
look forward to seeing you in April 2002.

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
