The file names are based upon the name of your database, and there are always 4 files (plus any applications that you write).  For example, if you called your database, "mydata" then your 4 file names would be called mydata.rb1, mydata.rb2, mydata.rb3, and mydata.rb4.  Once you have exited out of your database, you can move these 4 files around, back them up, etc.

Hope that helps!

Hi Everyone,

Im new to Rbase 2000 ver 6.5++ and Im not a Professional having said that I sure could use some expert help. So far I have done pretty well with the whole thing and Im to the point where I want to back up. I had no problems in backing up, at the R> prompt, but I dont know where it went to and what the File name and extension would be?

I want to backup the whole Data base to a other drive (Zip Drive) but I dont seem to get the proper syntax going.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Herb
