Tony,

RBASE databases can't be larger than 2 gigs because they use 32-bit pointers
which max out at that size.
However, one can deploy multiple RBASE databases, and either connect alternately,
or do SCONNECTs to access more than one simultaneously.  You can also
add DBF files whose size doesn't count against the 2-gig limit.

With hard drives so cheap now, I hope sometime in the near to
medium future to acquire a terabyte of disk space, and fill it with RBASE
databases.  500 of them would do the trick.  Then see what kind of
performance I can get with an application that hits them randomly.
SQL Server, you are toast.

Anyone working with Databases larger that 2 gigs? If so, any notorious problems or obstacles one should be concerened with? I will appreciate any feed back.

Thanks...

Tony
