Dear all, I seem to remember reading somewhere that you could format date fields in forms somehow without changing the current database setting but I can't find it now and I may well have imagined it! Or maybe it was only on reports?
I am trying to go into a simple column date field to edit '01/01/2001' it and immediately display its expanded result version as 'Monday 1st January 2001' (or whatever it is). I can display the original dates with a row entry EEP but, unless I fiddle about creating variables which (I don't think I want/need) to run the EEP from, the expanded version does not get updated when leaving the edit field - EEPs only run from variables. It also changes the database settings which I'd like to avoid if possible (less room for problems if something goes wrong during form use). Anybody got any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
