Boy can I relate to this situation, except my app was just freezing without
any error messages, but I eventually found my problem (Not RBASE)
yesterday..

After installing a program that tested flawlessly on my laptop, and my test
network, I installed it at the client. The 'problem' computer runs RBdos
programs all day with never a problem. But the RBwin application would
crash quickly. I spent hours improving my code looking for possible
problems and nothing I tried eliminated the problem. I switched network
cards, added memory, and played with configurations and then exchanged
computers and still RBWin would crash.

I eventually borrowed their computer and put it on my network and BINGO! not
a single crash.

Back at the client offices we tested their cabling with a Compas Ethernet
wiring tester and everything tested OK. But when I crawled up into the
ceiling I found the cat 5 cable running across a fluorescent light and a
severe 180 degree bend in the cable. I replaced the cable and the problem
seems to have disappeared.

Why they never had a problem with my 6.5++ DOS version vendor order program
and had nothing but problems running my 6.5++ windows version baffles me
still.
