Yes, Stupid windows stuff.  I tell it to write a file (always defaults to
reportname.pdf) without specifying a directory. Then I move/rename the file
to get it where I want it.

I think what he means is when you use prnsetup you select "pdf writer" as
the printer.

Then when you print something, the pdf writer will give a save as pop up
box. You select the directory and what name you want to save the pdf file
as.

If you change the directory in the pop up box it will not go back to the
database directory.

pdf writer is printer driver that comes with adobe acrobat to convert any
printed document to pdf format.

I think this is what he is talking about.

  I have the same version RB.  I put the following in a file and RUN it.  I
did not experience your problem with either version of change directory.....
