In addition to prior posts...

I do not know if this is what you are running into or
not but in case it is here is the problem and a workaround.

I suspect this may have been solved in the latest patch but
prior to that R:BASE has an engine level bug which will
cause a misreporting of the existence of a foreign key
where there is none.

Bill is right, R:BASE does not automatically create foreign
keys but it will sometimes disallow the deletion of a table
(in my case which HAD a foreign key referencing it) which
currently has no foreign key.

At a wild guess someone may have named the two columns the
same, later seen the same names, thought that there should
be a PK\FK relationship and created one, realised their
mistake and removed it but R:BASE thinks that a link still
exists.
