To all on the R:Base List   I wish you all the very best for the festive season and a prosperous 2002.   This list would have to be one of the greatest support mechanisms known to an inquisitive R:Base user and, indeed, to any user of a computer software package.  Members of the list, both with plenty of experience in R:Base and those with a goodly amount of knowledge in associated areas are always willing to share their expertise in solving other list members problems.  This is an attribute of the useres of this magnificent product whhich has evinced itself for many years prior to the fortunate acquisition of the product by the redoubtable Dr R> where the Compuserve list sponsored by Microrim eased incipient ulcers by providing the same level of help as is currently provided on this list.   There is no other product that receives such a level of help by users and management.   I am pleased that the recent disagreement between Dr R and Dennis McGrath is being resolved as both have made gigantic contributions to this product that helps us all enjoy some of the nicer things in life.   Given all of the negative things that have happened in the world this year let us all go forward, embracing the vigorous debate the list occasionally engenders, and continue to support the fraternal environment that we have on this list.   Best wishes to all,   Clive Williams Sydney Australia
