To ALL R:BASE 2000 (version 6.5++) Users:

Soon after we released the first upgrade version of
R:BASE 2000 (version 6.5++) for DOS/Windows on June
15, 2001, we received a few enhancement requests along
with a few bug reports. So, R:Team decided to release
an Inline Patch-1 for our current and loyal users of
R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++), Build:1.842xRT03.

While we were concentrating on The Magical R:BASE 7.0
and preparing for the annual R:BASE Developers'
Conference in October 2001, we were hoping to release
the Inline Patch-1 at that time. Because of the tragic
events of September 11, we postponed the conference;
however, we continued working on The Magical R:BASE 7.0,
as well as the release of Inline Patch-1 for 6.5++.
During that time, we received a few engine level
enhancement requests by our loyal and current R:BASE
users/developers. We got carried away and decided to
include a number of engine level enhancements as a
new year's present to our R:BASE users/developers.

The first private beta, including 13 enhancements
and/or new commands and 15 bug-fixes, was released on
November 2, 2001. As of December 30, 2001, we have
included over 20 enhancements and/or new commands and
over 25 bug fixes, since the release of R:BASE 2000
(ver 6.5++) on June 15, 2001.
