When you are using application express you can put @ symbol to get input
from the user:
For example, when you want to edit an invoice(form) by an invoice number you
put this in the where clause.
invoice_number = @ 'Enter invoice number'
This will
I have taken this from the R:base help screen:
When you assign actions to menu options in the Application Designer, you can
specify WHERE clauses to limit the rows of data for that action. You can
also use a feature that allows you to prompt the user for WHERE
conditions--enter the following line in a WHERE clause: @'prompt'.
For example, you want to prompt the user for a customer ID number from the
Customer table. In the "Where Builder" dialog box, select the custid column
and use the @'prompt' feature.
The problem I have is the parentheses around the 'prompt' part. If my quote
settings are the double quotes (") it will not convert it when it
compiles(saves).

Dan -
I've never seen @ used in this fashion before. Is this documented
anywhere?
