The cursor is lcated at some point on the sheet.

I don't know where and it will never be the same location each time.

I want to select the quadrant of cells from
whereever the current active cell is to cell A1
This will change everytime.

Could you simply use:

(where oExcel is the name of the Excel VBA object)
  oExcel.Range("A1:Z26").Select
  ...and so on...

Or, do you happen to be at position "Z26" and you
don't know the specific position of the cursor?  Are
you trying to figure out where the cursor ended up?
If so, you should be able to track that as you move
along in the spreadsheet.
