Yes,

QUIT TO can be very handy at times.

I don't think QUIT TO should be eliminated, just the need to use it to free
up memory.

I loved the freedom I had in RBDOS 4.5++ to use run exclusively and never
ran into a problem.  Worked much more like subroutines in the compiled
languages I use.  4.5++ had the best memory management of any R:Base version
ever, before or since.

Those days seem to be gone, but I don't think it is impossible to get that
functionality back.

I need the "quit to".  For one of my Customers, I run two different apps.
The second one quits to the first one.  Users of the first one cannot get to
the second one.
So "Save the Quit-To" !!!
