I've run into occasional but frustrating problems w/RB's Import/Export functionality.  So, I tend to use "UNLOAD DATA ... AS ASCII ..." rather than the utilities.  For those situations where it's useful, there is more flexibility than in the utilities, such as "... USING collist ...".   Give this command a look-see.

Subject: Exporting all records in a table

Hello everyone:

I have a table that is about 307 columns.  When I attempt to export all 6,500 reocrds via the gateway or a command file using the gateway command, the entire file is blank.  No records are exported.  If I export A-G, Then H-S, etc it will work.  This requires me to create 3 separate files to export all the records.  It appears that arount 2,500 records the gateway bombs out.  I would like to be able to do it in one file.  Anyone else every run into this?  Thanks.
