Alastair - I've been thinking about all the strange things your report designer is doing, and I'm thinking that you might have something funny in either your RBASE.CFG or RBASE.INI files. Just for kicks, I'd rename the old ones to something else, search your hard drive for any others and rename or delete them, too, then open R:BASE and let it re-create new files. If nothing else, it can't hurt!
