Mike

YOu have an excellent question - I was sure there was a fast fix for this -
SET SORTMENU ON - but when I tested it I found the following:

Create some variables in memory, deliberately out of alph order:

SET VAR vMike TEXT
SET VAR vZebra TEXT
SET VAR vArthur INTEGER

SET SORTMENU OFF

Go into an existing form and try to locate a variable: the variables show
system vars first, then the variables you created IN THE ORDER YOU CREATED
THEM.

Try to locate a Check Box: same thing, minus the system variables.

Exit from forms, and SET SORTMENU ON

Try to locate a variable: the vars now come up system vars first, then the
ones you creates IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER.

Try to locate a check box - there has been no change - they are in the
order created.

DR. R., sounds like an enhancment request! Can we get it into that new
fabulous release at the conference?

(Yes, I will submit this to the proper location at RDCC!)
