To publish data out of a productive RBase system we have the opportunity to use a webserver. The webserver is running LINUX, PHP4 and MySQL.
The idea was to transfer the publish-data by RBase via ODBC to MySQL, but we have trouble with different interpretations of datatypes. In fact we have not found a way to transfer NOTE fields from RBase to any fieldtype in MySQL. For interested people more info at http://www.rbase.ch/documents/RBaseToMySQL.htm Our workaround for fast prototyping was: Import RBase-Data by ODBC in Access and export to MySQL also by ODBC. What a shame! Is there someboddy with experience or other ideas in this environment?
