Run the procedure that creates the variable but do not delete the variable
or just create it from the R prompt. This variable has to be present when
you edit the report, otherwise you will get the error. Once you have saved
the changes and existed the report designer you can delete the variable. The
variable must be present for the report to run properly. I hope this helps.

Subject: Report Variable Problem

I have a report with a variable that is created in an rmd file. How can I
change this report? It says there is an error in the expression and when I
save the report the field disappears.
