On netware, I would use the nprint command to print a file, something like:

out x.$$$
write 'test page'
out screen
-- use all caps
zip nprint.exe "X.$$$ Q=.MYPRINTQUEUE.PRINTERS.SERVERS.TREENAME NB NNOTI FF"
