The odbc driver for rbase is limited to one connection either rbase or other
not both. It is not like Access where it is unlimited.

You can buy oterro in different user quantities depending on your needs.

Subject: ODBC question

I am using ODBC to import external data from R:Base into Excel. Is there
something special you have to do to be able to import data into Excel from
R:Base when someone is currently connected to the database you're trying to
import data from?

For instance if I'm connected to a database named DATA2000 and I'm using
Excel, if I try to import the data directly into Excel I get an error that
says that the database is connected in a mode that makes it unavailable to
me. If I go to R:Base and disconnect from DATA2000 and then go back to
Excel and try to get the data again everything works fine.

I guess it boils down to the question, Can I use R:Base's ODBC connection in
multi-user mode?

Anyone's help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
