Simplest way from the r:prompt -
Out filename
Print reportname
Out screen
You can also include code in a command file like this;
*(Print.rmd)
set v vout tex
cho vout fro output.mnu at center center title '[Esc]=Return' caption
'Select Output Device'
if vout='printer' the
out printer
set lines 60
print Reportname whe blah blah
out screen
set lines 24
cle variables varlist
ret
endi
if vout='file' the
set v vfile tex
dia 'Enter Filename ' vfile=33 vendkey 1 at 2 36
if vfile is null or vfile='[esc]' the
cle variable varlist
ret
else
set lines 60
out filename
print Reportname whe blah blah
out screen
set lines 24
cle variable varlist
ret
endi
endi
if vout='screen' the
print leascr whe idnum=.vidnum
cle v vout vfile vendkey
ret
endi
ret
*(Output.mnu)
output.mnu
popup
|Printer||Print report to printer|
|Screen||Print report to screen|
|File||Print to a word processing file|
endc
Of course, this is very basic. You could also get into printing to PDF
files;
automatically or programatically select printers, etc. You could also use
Switch...EndSwitch with case statements instead of if...endif.
Good luck,
