Robert,

01. Configure your W2K Pro Workstation as WEB Server (IIS).
Once installed and configured properly, check Services to
make sure that "World Wide Web Publishing Service" is running.

02. Install and Configure R:Tango for W2K Pro Workstation. Once
installed and configured properly, check Services to make sure
that "Tango 2000 Server" and "Tango 2000 ServerWatcher"
      services are running.

03. Using Internet Service Manager, make sure that "Default Web Site"
is configured properly, including the following:
. Local Path, such as: \wwwroot
. Document Extensions, such as: .TAF, .TCF, .TML, .THTML

04. Make sure that System DSN for your database is created on
your local W2K Pro Workstation to test all R:Tango apps
     locally.

05. Keep your R:Tango Apps, such as MyTest.TAF, under: \wwwroot

     Example: \wwwroot\RTangoApps\FirstTest

06. To Test your R:Tango Apps, using the browser on local server:

     http://localhost/RTangoApps\FirstTest\MyTest.TAF

Hope that helps!

Can anyone offer some insight on how I need to setup a stand-alone
Windows 2000 Pro workstation to test R:Tango applications.

I must be missing some rudimentary component that is preventing me
from testing my applications.  I'm confused as to what is really needed
by way of web-server software in order to simply test.  The documentation
suggests that if you just choose to install Tango Developer Studio first,
a personal server is installed by default.

Do I actually need some kind of network connection to test locally?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated...  My hair is growing thinner
by the moment!
