Thank you all for your replies. What I was hoping to find
is whether you can easily access the RS232 or USB input
from Rbase. I am somewhat familiar with the keyboard
wedge decoders, but am under the understanding that
you could use only (1) per PC. I need to have one PC
read (4) barcode inputs. I.E. the application would
continually poll the (4) input ports and when input is
found process it.

With a keyboard wedge, this would be fairly simple I
believe as indicated below it simply "acts" as keyboard
input. However I would not be able to poll (4) swipe
readers and I do not want to have to purchase (4) PC's.

Since USB or RS232 swipe readers are available, this
approach could let me use more readers on one PC.
However I do not know how to access the USB or RS232
ports through Rbase. Any ideas?

Thank you all again in advance.

Bob,

My best advice is to go with the keyboard wedge approach. It will be
trouble-free in conjunction with R:Base. As Lynn indicated, you can accept
the barcode input into a field on a form, a FILLIN, a DIALOG, etc. Painless.
