The September 3 issue of PC Magazine has an article
about how to set up individual autoexec.bat and config.sys
files for DOS programs and have XP use those files.

Also says that for Windows programs that run well on other
Windows OS's but don't run well at XP, there's a spot
where you tell XP to 'treat the program as an earlier version
of windows would', you actually pick the version of
Windows.

If someone is interested and can't get ahold of the magazine,
I could paraphrase.
