Tom, #1 If I understand correctly, the region is filled with rows of variables? If so, check to make sure that the field settings for adding and changing data are checked (my most often forgotten detail <g>). Also; I wonder if, since you are leaving one row, maybe the eep is being actuated as though you are entering the next row and entering that field. Maybe you could put another placebo field first and see if that solves the problem. If so, you could create an entry eep for it that checks the last form_field_name and skips if not 'Exit'.
#2 If you're working exclusively w/ variables, saverow accomplishes nothing but suppressing the system doyouwanttosavethis message. When I get stuck with something like this I break out of trace, copy and paste the command to the R> and see what happens. It usually points out another senior moment in my life, which I undeservedly incur more often these days <more g's>.
